Wow I love that Warhol comment, Jeannie! I read "Sugar Blues" ages ago for the first time but forgot that line.

Thanks for joining the fight!

Giving up white flour is no doubt a great idea and I can already see myself leaning toward it. But I'm trying to pace myself because sometimes I have a tendency to get all-enthusiastic and fired up (see also: candy addict traits) and then can lose interest and motivation just as quickly.

So just not picking up a package of Haribo candies a few minutes ago when I ran out to get some eggs and milk is a triumph for today.

Please keep me posted as to your progress!

I'm with you! I started yesterday and I'm heading toward forever. It just doesn't seem to be something I can control. So it is better to have none at all. I may have to include white flour (or what Connie Bennett (www.sugarshock.com) calls "quickie carbs."

The line in "Sugar Blues" that resounded with me was a quote from Andy Warhol: "All I ever really want is sugar."

I'm counting on you to keep the blog going! Don't let us down.
