I am joining you my friend. This makes two of us getting off sugar!I was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes several months ago. Two months ago I was forced to retire from my job because the sciatic nerve pain caused by my diabetes, became so severe, it advanced into my right leg and into my right foot. I am now on a sugar free diet mostly with foods that have only one ingredient. Two days ago I went to the local grocery store to find salad dressing with no added sugar including no high fructose corn syrup. I found only one. My new diet for at least one week now includes: Broccoli, Asparagas, Tomatos, Onions, Beans, Romaine Lettuce, Colliflower, Spinach, Cabbage, Greens, lean meats, Nuts, Omega 3 Fish, and Curry such as Cinnamon and Fenugreek. All of these items are highly recommended by doctors for diabetics. We will experience this quest together.

Dana,

I'm so glad you've asked such an important question! It's amazing how much sugar is contained in foods.

And I'm eager to hear how it goes for a week without any added sugars.

Rooting for you as usual.
