Dana, you are such a darn clever writer! Amazing how you pull together so many different ideas into a cohesive, compelling blog post.

So, in that vein, let me put on my magical thinking cap vis a vis your Year Without Candy: I see a day where candies hold absolutely NO allure for you at all!!

The fact that you've stayed away so long is downright amazing -- hurrah for you! Now, I'd like for you to not have visions of deliberate slipping. I think that's definitely possible! Although that recent post had me chuckling quite a bit.

And, I hope a bunch of people donate a lot of money to you for writing this smart, always-entertaining blog. Hmm. Maybe I should post a "Donate" button on my Sugar Shock Blog, too?

Quoting Winnie? Now you're in my territory my friend. "...we shall fight on the beaches, we shall fight on the landing grounds, we shall fight in the fields and in the streets, we shall fight in the hills; we shall never surrender..." I feel positively inspired ... to have another slice of pizza.
